Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

Solo Pixels ("we," "us," or "our") operates Liquid Timer (the "App").

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App independently. Children under 13 may use the App under parental supervision. The App does not collect personal information from any user.

4. The App and License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the applicable app store terms.

The App is licensed, not sold.

You may not:

  • copy, redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App except as permitted by law or app store rules;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law;
  • bypass or circumvent any security or access controls;
  • modify the App or create derivative works based on it;
  • use the App in violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

5. What the App Does

Liquid Timer is a single-purpose timer application. It provides:

  • a visual countdown timer with animated liquid gauge
  • five elemental themes (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water)
  • Timer and Pomodoro modes
  • customizable alarm sounds, background music, and visual settings
  • support for English, Vietnamese, and Chinese

The App operates entirely on your device. There are no user accounts, no cloud storage, no server-side features, and no social or sharing functionality.

6. No Accounts

The App does not require or support user accounts, registration, or login. All settings and preferences are stored locally on your device.

7. Pricing

Liquid Timer is free. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, premium tiers, or paid features.

We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future. If we do, we will clearly describe pricing and terms before any purchase is required, and existing free functionality will not be removed without notice.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the App in any way that violates applicable law;
  • attempt to interfere with the App's operation or security;
  • distribute modified copies of the App;
  • use the App to infringe on any third-party rights.

9. User Content

The App allows you to import custom audio files (alarm sounds and background music) from your device. These files remain on your device and are not uploaded, transmitted, or shared.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any audio files you import.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, animations, visual design, themes, mascot artwork, and branding, is owned by Solo Pixels or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand elements.

11. Third-Party Services and Platform Terms

The App is distributed through Apple's App Store, Google Play, and may be available via web. Your use of the App is also subject to the terms of the platform through which you obtained it, including:

  • Apple App Store: Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless superseded by these Terms where permitted. The App is licensed, not sold, to you.
  • Google Play: Google Play's terms of service apply to your download and use of the App through Google Play.

Apple, Google, and their subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms to the extent required by their respective platform agreements.

12. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on what information the App collects and how it is used.

In summary: the App collects anonymous usage analytics (via PostHog and Amplitude) and stores all your personal settings locally on your device. No personal information is collected, and no accounts exist.

13. Changes to the App

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes through app store update notes.

14. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

We may discontinue the App or revoke access if you violate these Terms. Since the App is free and has no accounts, termination means we may remove the App from distribution or push updates that restrict access in cases of misuse.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

We do not warrant that:

  • the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components;
  • the App will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions;
  • the timer will be accurate to any specific precision beyond what the underlying device provides;
  • any particular result will be achieved by using the App.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Solo Pixels will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the App.

Because the App is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the App will not exceed USD $10 (ten US dollars), except where a higher amount is required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Solo Pixels harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • your violation of these Terms;
  • your use of the App in a manner not authorized by these Terms;
  • your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved in the courts of Vietnam, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and provide notice through the App or app store listing where practical.

Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Solo Pixels regarding the App.
